From November 1st 2019 to May 15th 2020 I had the amazing opportunity to work for A.P.O. Productions Made in Hawaii TV program. I was hired as an assistant video editor but am able to work on various things within the organization. I was working on projects such as revamping the company website and adding various aspects within there such as search bars via coding, and overall visuals. I also was working on the company YouTube channelʻs Travel Guide playlist. This playlist contains videos of various hikes and businesses in Hawaiʻi a long with directions and instructions to enjoy them. With these videos I was the sole lead in the project. I scripted, filmed, edited, and uploaded all travel guide videos on my own. Over all this company blessed me beyond my greatest imagination. I never would have thought that at the age of 19 I would be able to work for a local TV production company as this. I have learned so much from working there and hope to continue to learn more as time goes on.
On May 15th 2020 I moved from my home Maui for the first time and to the Monterey Bay Area in order to seek greater opportunity and attend school here for my senior year. While letting go of this position was a hard decision to make, I am proud I was brave enough to move away from home for the first time in order to seek greater opportunities then the small island of Oahu can provide. With this time, I will seek internships, and take classes at CSU Monterey Bay that will further my education, and experiences for my future career, wherever it may be.
